The venue
Mar Hall
Mar Hall is a nineteenth-century baronial mansion set in 240 acres of ancient woodland on the banks of the River Clyde — about ten minutes from Glasgow Airport and twenty from the city itself.
The house has recently emerged from a top-to-toe restoration, so expect long corridors, very good views, and us somewhere near the front looking unusually smart.
Everything — ceremony, dinner and dancing — happens in the one place, so once you arrive, you're there for the day.
